F.2 weekend homework 14/12

The International Food Fair news paper article(composition):
The food fair was held in the lower hall of Methodist College on last Friday. It was the greatest project of all Form 2 students this year. Everybody worked hard before the big day for amazing results.
Form 2 students organized this function to earn money. But the money weren't for them to spend every where, or to buy Christmas presents. They're going to donate all of them to the Medecins Sans Frontieres(MSF), which is a charity organization. The MSF are using the money for charity purpose.
After this function, different Form 2 students had opinions and comments. One of the spokeman complains that one of the teacher is doing things unjustifiable, that made him has a bad feeling with the food fair. Another one spokeman has responsed that the food fair was arranged very well, he'd like it very much.
Overall the food fair was good. Everyone cooperated and get it done. They all had good results.

My experience from food fair

Yesterday was the food fair. I think many of us was looking forward for this day. At first I was looking forward for this day, too. But that was really wrong!

We started the preparation work from this Monday. At first, I thought we will finish it very early.
So, we just bought the materials and cut out very few amount of papers. On Tuesday, I suggest some kind of "special" idea, so I got out to buy some new tools. But I spent so many time in the bookstore to buy things. That's because there are so many things I want!! And that makes a waste of time.

The preparation work was really horrible and awful, I hated it. Then, the next work is to prepare the food. We make cookies and chicken wings, that's yummy. But I didn't work so much on the cookies, because I'm not very good on making desserts. While we're making the chicken wings, I helped so much to remedy. If I didn't help on making, my group members will kill me!
So I suggested ideas, and finally it's yummy.

Overall, the food fair is a funny but hard-work game. Funny is because I can enjoy the food from other groups. There are Japanese "cold-noodles", cheese cakes, pancakes and potatoes, whatever I like. But the preparation is awful. One night, we even cooked the food and make the posters very night and I went back to home on eleven o'clock!

F.2 weekend homework

The country which our group has choose in the food fair is America. It is a very common country that I'm sure everybody in, or even out of the Earth have heard about it. But I'm not familiar with the food in America. So, I've check for it inside the internet.

Oh! It's just stupid. I found out that very often in our daily life even in Hong Kong, we can try these kinds of American food. They're very popular in Hong Kong too. I like to have some of them very much too. They are fried potatoes, French fries, fried chickens, pancakes... and whatever junk food. I know most people like it very much. It just so do I.

They're yummy. But they're not good for health. It is because most of them are using oil to deep fry or having a large amount of butter. If we always have it for meals, we'll sure be very fat or even sick in few days. But they're including the food we're going to prepare in the food fair. We're going to prepare cookies. Ha!

What have you learned this time?
I've learn how can we take videos for better quality. It's neither upgrade the camera, nor using special technique. All I've learn is to remember the script more hardly before taking the video. Then, we won't need to take it for so many times.

What did you do better this time?
In many areas, I did better this time. I could speak louder during taking the video so that we can listen it more clearly than last time. And the most important thing is, I didn't care about the out-look so much this time. Last time, since I was too care about the out-look is good or bad, our group "NG" very often. That's very silly.

What could you improve for next time?
Well, I'm not very looking forward for the next time and I don't even want a next time. Although it is funny to have a camera to take photos or videos everywhere, but sometimes I'll think that was a waste of time. One weekend, I even did my homework overtime beecause of taking the video for a whole afternoon. But, if there will be a next time, I will do my best too. I will recite the script very hardly like having reciting dictations.(They're horrible!) And I'll even try to speak louder. It's because outdoors are always very noisy. We couldn't hear it clearly if we're taking it outdoor.

2R Computer Literacy Assignment - 19/11/07

What did I learn today in computer literacy?
I learned things that related to micro-skills: phonemic analysis and contextual comprehension. Although I don't understand all of them. I've also learned something new about sounds, such as "Christmas" and "chrysanthemum". Maybe they are sometimes useful to us when we are reading, isn't it?

What could we have done better in this module?
Well, I'm not so sure what should we do to become better. Maybe we can just always follow Mr. Woo's instructions to do the right things. When we have questions or things which we don't understand, we can ask Mr. Woo more.

Weekend homework

This time, in making an advertisement for the food fair, I realize that it was a very hard work. The first thing, it was the storyboard. Although drawing is easy, but i couldn't think of any stories. After that, when our group finally finished the story, we need to take the video. I've never take videos as homework, but I thought that was easy job. But I know that it was wrong. We've take the videos for so many times, using hours and hours. And reciting the script isn't easy, too. The video "NG" many times is because of we forgot the script.

Drawing the storyboard and Taking videos are really fun, I'd like it very much. But since I need to recite the script, I've got a bad impressions for this homework. If there is a next time doing this type of homework, I will surely recite the script for hundred million times before taking the videos. So that I won't need to re-take the video so many times.

2R Computer Literacy Assignment - 29/10/07

Today I went to the iGoogle.com and signed in for my own account. I add some tools in my page, well, they're not tools at all. Many of them are just games, jokes or even some fortune-telling games. I like fortune-telling very much. Although sometimes they are not true (but there are times that they are right!). I also add my favourite game, "Pac-man". It is a game to let the yellow mouth eat up all the yellow dots in the screen, but you'll need to avoid the monsters!
After I add the "tools", I changed the skin of my iGoogle page. It's wonderful. I've also learn about vowels, although they are boring. :]

2R Computer lesson

I used widgetbox.com to find this widget. At first, I try to search for "simpsons" and there are lots of results, its great, but there is only a few results is related to the things I want to find. So, I choose the second one, which is the one on the top of this page, the boy, Bart writing the blackboard. It's a very funny picture. I put it on my blog. I change a little bit of the size, because the original one is too big for my blog. I tried many times, and I finally finished it. Then, I pressed "get widget" and I get it.

I went to Google and searched the keyword, "mickey". There are many results, over one hundred and even thousands. At last, I chose this one because it is in black and white. I like black and white pictures very much.

The reason I choose this word: I choose this word because nowadays many blogs, online photo albums and even video contains a place for people leaving their own opinions(comments). I think everyone should know it, shouldn't they?

Picky eaters

Maybe there are many picky eaters in Hong Kong. It's because there are many "fussy parents eaters" in nowadays. And their children will become fussy eaters, like them. And when the children become grown-ups, they have their own children and their children become fussy eaters. Again and again, there will be more and more fussy eaters. Or maybe one day, all of the human in the world will become picky eaters too.

I think all of us should try to accept the food we hate to eat. It's because there are different kinds of nutritions in every kind of food. They are good for our body. If we don't get enough nutritions, we will be unhealthy of even sick.

It's hard to say I am or ain't a picky eater. I don't like eating cucumbers. But sometimes, when I was very hungry, I will eat them. Or just only there's nothing to eat, but I'm very hungry, so I find this horrible food to eat.

The reason I choose this word: It is because in the paragraph of "Machu Picchu", it said that the experts didn't know why the ancient people built this wonder. They estimate that it was built for some "ceremonial reasons". Maybe that is a real reason too. So, this word is important too.
I think the meaning of this word is: A kind of big event that everybody in the country or city should join it.

A wonder in Hong Kong

If I'm going to choose the ninth wonder in Hong Kong, I'll choose the Tsing Ma Bridge. It was built to connect Ma Wan Island and Tsing Yi Island. It is the largest suspension bridge with two decks in the world. The two decks are separately for the cars and MTR rails. Also, the bridge is the sixth longest suspension bridge in the world too.

I choose this because it is one of the most important tourist sight in Hong Kong. The government has also built a viewing platform for the tourists for sightseeing the bridge. There is no way for people to walk on the bridge. That's a little bit pity. In fact, we can walk on the bridge too. When Hong Kong is having some Marathon races, the bridge will open as a competition arena. It's a wonderful bridge, isn't it?

My hobby

Before I go on my secondary school, I really had lots of hobbies, reading, playing computer or TV games, playing piano, drawing, etc. But after I go on secondary school, I'm busy with homework and revisions. I don't have much time for these fun.

Well, in fact not all the time I'm busy. Sometimes there aren't too much homework, so I'll find some fun for myself. Especially playing the piano, this is a hobby i do it most of my leisure time. Once I even played it to half past eleven o'clock p.m.! That's a record for me.

I started to learn playing the piano when I was 5 years old. At first, I couldn't pay attention on the lesson because I'm naughty. I told my mother that I don't want to have the lesson anymore. But afterwards, I tried to play it again and I began like playing it. Now, I perform the songs well. I felt relax after having this enjoyment.

If I really give up learning piano when I was 5 years old, I will be regretful. These 7 years when I felt boring, I'll play the piano. If I didn't learn it, I maybe wasting my time doing nothing, or feeling vacant every time.

Today, I learned how to make my own blog and post. It's very funny. I liked it very much.
